“It behooves all discerning music fans to start paying closer attention to the Connecticut-based guitarist/vocalist/songwriter.”
–Andrew O’Brien, Live for Live Music
A seasoned performer Cal has been touring New England both solo and with his bands logging over 600 performances in just 5 years.
Three projects are currently scheduled for performances this Spring/Summer 2018.
Solo Performance- Cal is resident act at the House of Blues Foundation Room in Boston. The vast majority of his performances are solo shows where Cal puts his “looping” skills on display. Sometimes compared to Andrew Bird or Keller Williams, Cal’s technique leaves audiences in wonderment at how one musician can saturate and color so much of the sonic canvas.
Cal Kehoe Trio- Cal anchors a trio designed to allow for “sit-ins” of guests performers. With library of originals and inventive covers, the trio tailors their sets to the crowd and the venue.
“The Amfibian All Stars”- In 2009, he met and became friends with long time Phish and Trey Anastasio Lyricist, Tom Marshall. After seeing Cal Play in Hartford one night, Tom offered to work with Cal.
“Collaborating with Tom was one of the greatest experiences I could have ever hoped for”.
It was at one of the late night recording sessions when Cal, Tom and fellow musician Anthony Krizan decided to put together a band they called “The Amfibian All-Stars” complete with horns, keyboards, percussion, and back up vocalists “The All Stars” are festival ready. Performing at The Iridium Jazz Club, the sold out show was an instant hit and the “All-Stars” are in talks to play at a few select venues this summer 2018.
